TERI'S TIPS

I am currently doing a custom makeover for a client on her Bombe chest that has a shiny, laminate factory finish.

When I work on these slick surfaces, I prep them with a base coat of a great product by Dixie Belle Paint Company called Slick Stick.

This product bonds to glossy and other hard, shiny surfaces to allow effective painting. I applied one coat and allowed it to dry overnight and I am now ready to start painting.

This is a great product you can also use on other slick surfaces such as PVC, glass, formica, metal and it will allow your paint to stick to these surfaces.

Adding some stripes to my client's Bombe. I don't get requests for many yellow pieces but each time I do, they make me smile. PERFECT during these trying times.

Spiritual Meaning of the Color Yellow.

Yellow is a bright happy, joyful color, it reminds us of a beautiful carefree sunny, summer day. Its meaning is the symbolism of optimism, idealism and hope. The color yellow is also a symbol of courage and personal power.

I used a custom mix of Dixie Belle's Daisy and Fluff for the base and Lemonade for the stripes.

Nothing better to complement the yellow on my Bombe makeover then some gorgeous blue flowers.

I used Re-design with Prima's Cosmic Rose transfer.

What a fun, happy makeover this was!

My client picked the color of yellow she wanted and we decided on this gorgeous transfer with shades of blue flowers for her dress.

Sunny is ready to return to her home in Detroit and provide smiles to all she greets!
