This antique Eastlake washstand has been given a modern look using both a black paint wash and waxes to highlight all the gorgeous details while still allowing the wood to show. This technique really enhanced the beauty of the pencil reeded detail on the drawer fronts and the engraved design on the backsplash.

Estimated to have been crafted in the 1890's - early 1900's (as shown by the knapp joints used in the drawer construction) this hand constructed solid wood cabinet has stood the test of time.  
New castors were added and General Finishes Orange Oil applied to all the interior wood.  This is an all natural wood cleaner which feeds the wood and provides it with a fresh, clean scent.
 
The original hand stamped brass hardware has been highlighted with a copper wax to really allow it to stand out on this beauty.   It features one full width drawer over 2 small drawers and a single door cabinet which provides ample storage.
